A popular definition is someone
who builds, maintains and repairs mechanical systems, i.e. a
"nuts and bolts" person who works with their hands. In
Jorge's opinion, this is an incomplete definition that may limit your
professional development and your industry.

If you use a “USB to Serial Adapter” when updating your
Tech 2 you run the risk of corrupting the download because most
USB to Serial Adapters are a slow speed serial.
This only applies to those who
use a USB to Serial adapter, those who connect directly to the
serial port with a DB-9 connector do not need to worry about
this.
GM and Bosch have identified a
USB to Serial adapter that is a high speed serial cable that
supports 230 Kbps and will not corrupt the downloads from AC
