I have used AES Wave for many years. I use it to catalog my huge collection of scope waveform examples and to create images for use in Autonerdz classes. |
|
I also store selected digital images of interest as well, so they are handy. In some cases, it is nice to be able to prove a repair or illustrate a failure for a customer that is interested. I have also found it essential to be able to share images for technical discussion on iATN. Wave just makes it so easy.
High production shop
In a high production shop environment, where there just isn't much time to input things into Wave, I just quickly download the data from the scope with the copy of Wave I have at work and quickly save it to a floppy disk. It takes only a couple of minutes and then I have them before I have to move to another car and capture another. Then I just bring the disk home, write the story and input it into Wave at my leisure.
Valuable
reference
Having a database at work is also very valuable as a reference. Many times I need to refer to an example or a critical signal relationship to make a speedy diagnosis. Again, Wave is the tool of choice. Wherever I may be doing training, Wave goes with me. Thanks, Jorge, for creating such a great tool!
