NOTE: Not all Scopemeters support Reference waveforms and those that do can offer different features. Refer to your user manual for more information.
Reference waveforms are unique in that they can be on the display in the background while the channel A and B are active. Reference waveforms serve multiple functions:
| • | They can be used as an operational window for repetitive signals such as ignition secondary and primary. How well does the live signal fit into the reference signal? |
| • | They can be used as a reference to the purpose of the setup. |
| • | The C version offers PASS or FAIL Testing. A powerful feature. |
It is recommended that a Reference waveform be created and saved when saving a setup into scope memory that will later be shot to the AES Setup Shooter.
