What Does Setting the Focus Do?

Setting the focus of a waveform does two basic things:

1. Causes the grid to display the vertical and horizontal values and the trigger position for the selected waveform.

2. Results in the selected waveform to be painted on top of all the others.

Setting the Focus

The waveform with the focus is identified in two ways:

The grid value colors
The measurement value label will be underlined

The focus for a waveform can be set multiple ways:

Click the colored area of the measurement label.
Move the vertical position of the waveform
Select from the menu ANALYSIS | SET FOCUS | Select desired waveform

Example

In this example Ch. B, the red waveform, has the focus. All the grid values are based on Ch. B and are displayed in the Ch. B color.
