Read first
Start the program
1. | On the initial running of the program a First Time Dialog Window will appear. Use this dialog to select from a list of sample databases, or create a new database. |
Shoot setups
6. | Select Automatic if you are not sure which serial port the instrument is connected to. |
7. | Once communication is established the setups will load to the instrument. |
8. | When loaded, select one of the setups to be the active setup. |
10. | To help you remember the setup arrangement select Print Report. |
Capture Setups and Waveforms
3. | Select Automatic if you are not sure which serial port the instrument is connected to. |
4. | Once communication is established, from the Select Setup dialog select the setup memory location of the setup you wish to retrieve. |
5. | The program will retrieve the setup and screen capture. |
Create a Setup Group
1. | Follow the steps 1 through 5 in Capture Setups above. |
2. | Next enter data into the fields and make sure to enter a unique entry in at least one of the fields. Use the unique entry for all the records that you want to be in the group. For example in the field labeled JOB NAME enter IGNITION PERFORMANCE TESTS. |
Select a Setup Group
2. | Click on the column header that includes the unique entry used to identify your setup group. |
3. | Locate the unique entry in the list and select the desired setups. Double click on up to 15 setups and a ">" will appear at the left. |
Save a Setup Group as a Setup Shooter List File (*.SSL)
A Setup Shooter List is a list of Setups that can automatically open a database when needed and load the selected setups to the Arrange and Shoot screen. This can be useful for often used setup groups.
Analysis - Measure a Waveform
At the Analysis screen you can measure waveforms and add annotations.
1. | Start at the Browse screen: Highlight a record by using the Up / Down arrow keys, the Up / Down buttons, or with the mouse pointer. A record is highlighted when in gray. |
2. | Select from the main menu ACTION | ANALYSIS |
Annotate a Waveform
Annotations can be added to waveforms in the Analysis screen.
1. | Follow the steps above in - Analysis - Measure a Waveform |
2. | Select from the main menu - ANNOTATION | NEW |
