capbut   Opens the Capture New Setups screen

 

BrowseBut   Opens Browse and Select Setups screen

 

ArrangeBut    Opens Arrange and Shoot Setups screen

 

 

Turning on or Off the Vertical Menu

The vertical menu can be either turned on or off by selecting VIEW | VERTICAL MENU. If the menu is off you can negotiate the three main screen from the ACTION menu.

 

 

Main Menu

 

File

 

Create a New Database

Creates a new database

 

Open

Opens an AES Setup Shooter file. It can be a database or Setup Shooter List with an SSL extension (*.ssl).

 

Close

Closes the current database.

 

The next menu is dynamic depending on the current screen

 

Backup Database As

* Browse and Select Setup screen

Copies the current database to a new file name. Ideal for backing up your database.

 

Save Setup Shooter List As

* Arrange and Shoot screen

Saves the list of setups and the database name to a file with an .SSL extension. This file contains the information needed to open a database and load the Arrange and Shoot screen.

 

Save As

* Capture Setups screen

Offers the option to save the screen capture as a bitmap and the record data as a text file.

 

Save as PDF

* Print Preview Report screen

Saves the current report as a PDF. If Adobe Acrobat is installed it will automatically open up. From Acrobat the PDF can be saved or emailed.

 

Export Setup Record As...

This menu item is only available when at the Browse Screen.

 

File...

Exports the current Setup Record as a file to disk. Use this option to share an individual Setup Record.

 

Email Attachment...

Exports the current Setup Record as an email attachment. (Must have MAPI compliant email program.)

 

Export Bitmap...

Export the currently displayed screen capture picture as a graphic.

 

Print

Prints the current data. First opens the Print Preview screen.

 

Browse and Select Setup screen

Option to print a reference report of all records in the current database. Or, the just the current record.

 

Arrange and Shoot screen

Prints a reference report for the setups loaded to the instrument. First page includes a quick reference with the memory locations and record name. This is followed by a detail of each setup.

 

Capture New Setups screen

Prints current data.

 

Edit Setups screen

Prints current data.

 

Most Recently Used File List

Reference to the last four files closed from the program. Use this option to quickly switch between databases or to recall a Setup Shooter List file (*.ssl).

 

Exit

Closes all windows and exits program.

 

Edit

 

Cut

Deletes the highlighted text

 

Copy

Copies the highlighted text to the Windows clipboard. If not text is highlighted the graphic is copied.

 

Paste

Paste text from the Windows Clipboard to the current cursor position.

 

Action

 

Capture New Setups

Opens to the Capture New Setups screen

 

Browse and Select Setups

Opens to the Browse and Select Setups screen

 

Arrange and Shoot Setups

Opens to the Arrange and Shoot Setups screen

 

Analysis

Opens the Analysis screen if signal datapoints are available

 

 

View

 

Screen Viewer

Opens the current instrument screen capture to a new window - the Screen Viewer.

 

Toolbar

 

Show

     Select to display or hide the toolbar

 

Show Captions

       Select to show or hide the captions for the toolbar buttons

 

Vertical Menu

Turns on or off the Vertical Menu Bar

 

Status Bar

Turns on or off the status bar

 

 

Analysis

This menu item only appears when VIEW | ANALYSIS has been selected.

 

Cursors

Select to show or hide the cursors used to measure the waveform

 

Show

Select to show or hide the currently available waveforms

 

Set Focus

Select the waveform that is used to set the display grid values (Time and volt per division)

 

Wfm Fill

If the waveform displays min and max, select to show or hide the color fill between the min and max values.

 

Active Waveform (Displays label of active waveform such as Ch. B)

Performs the sub menu action on just the active waveform.

Invert

Toggles the invert property of the active waveform

 

Fill

Toggles the fill mode of the active waveform

 

Options

Opens the Analysis Option Dialog that is used to set colors and other preferences.

 

 

Annotation

This menu item only appears when VIEW | ANALYSIS has been selected.

 

New

Open the Create New Annotation Dialog

 

Open

Opens an existing annotation that has been saved to file using the ANNOTATION | SAVE command.

 

Save

Saves the current annotations to file for later recall using the ANNOTATION | OPEN command.

 

Edit

Selects to edit the current annotation.

 

Duplicate

Duplicates the current annotation.

 

Delete

Deletes the current annotation.

 

Show

Select to show or hide the current annotation.

 

Copy Text

Copies the text of the currently selected annotation to the clipboard.

 

Move to Top

Moves the current annotation to the top of all others.

 

Move to Bottom

Move the current annotation to the bottom of all others.

 

Show All

Select to show or hide all annotations.

 

 

Help

 

Contents

Displays the contents of the help file.

 

Search for Help On

Displays the search help option dialog.

 

Authorize

Opens the Program Authorization screen. Enter program registration number at this screen.

 

About

Dialog displays program version number, build

 

 

Screen Captures - Right Click Menus

 

Right clicking on a graphic offers two menu choices.

1. Save As - Save graphic as a BMP

2. Copy - Copies graphic to the Windows clipboard.

 

 

Screen Captures - Double Click Graphics

 

Double clicking (left button) will open the graphic into a new Window, which can be used to resize the graphic for closer inspection.
